Answer : I’m 25; I’ve been using alcohol in on abusive manner for 10 years and have been addicted to cocaine since I was 21.
Q: Could you tell us how your drug abuse started ?
A : I started going to raves and using ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, special K. I would dance all night and party with friends
Q: What kind of relationship did you have with your friends ?
A : My friends and I spent a lot of time together but it wasn’t deep or meaningful it was just someone to use and dance and party with.
Q: What kind of advantages did you think drugs were creating for you ?
A : I thought that drugs were giving me more energy, connecting me to powerful, popular people, keeping me thin and making me have more fun.
Q: When did drugs become a problem for you ?
A : Drugs became a life-destroying problem for me when I began cooking my cocaine and smoking crack.
Q: When did you hear about Narconon?
A : My mom found Narconon on the internet after I had tried and failed at 3 different 21 day programs.
Q: What are the differences you’ve noticed between Narconon and any other rehab you’ve been to or heard about ?
A : Narconon doesn’t treat me as though I’m permanently diseased by addiction. Narconon doesn’t make you live negative past experiences over and over, but instead brings you into present time.
Q: What steps in the Narconon program helped or are going to help you the most ?
A: The sauna detoxification helped me by clearing my body of residual drugs. My training routines taught me to confront, control and communicate; I arrived here unable to do these 3 basic skills necessary for survival.
Q: If I asked you to compare how you feel now to how you felt before coming to Narconon what would you say ?
A : I have completely turned around. I came here hopeless and now I am very excited and can’t wait to live each day as a happy, contributing member of society.
Q: If you had something to communicate to the public about drugs or the Narconon program what would it be ?
A : Drugs only lead to hopelessness, obsession and eventually death. If you or someone you know has problems with drugs, Narconon is the way to get better.
Q: How do you feel now after completing the Narconon Program ?
A : I feel elated, happy, excited and hopeful for the future!
